In the first part of the book Reassembling the Social: An Introduction to Actor-Network-Theory, entitled: “How to deploy controversies about the social world,” Bruno Latour develops his ideas on an alternative way of doing sociology and of understanding the world of human-non-human relations. In this book, the author proposes an epistemological re-evaluation of the science of sociology to make it more symmetrical between analysts and actors and more oriented toward the construction, search, and description of the forms of action, which would be given by agential networks of people and things. It is a critique of sociology from its foundations, which includes critical sociology.
