Young Hoppers build their identities by engaging in Hip Hop as a cultural art
movement. It Is identified that Hoppers’ social contexts are marginality and
exclusion. In the political-cultural, cultural actions are political actions because
they seek the transformations of marginalized realities. In the economic context,
they are involved in the exchange of cultural goods within the informal economy
framework. The environmental context, because they are located in periphery
and marginal areas, they are exposed to environmental hazards.
