The recurrent armed conflict in Colombia has its roots in the use, enjoyment, arrangement, tenure, and control of land. Although the regulatory framework has sought to regulate the issue, in practice, several of these rules have not contributed to overcoming inequality gaps. Only since the Peace Agreement
signed in 2016 between the FARC-EP and the Colombian State, has this axis been incorporated as a mechanism for peace and reconciliation. However, the political will to properly address this issue remains a challenge.
