Currently, products derived from coca leaf have sought to enter the logic of the market, through productive initiatives promoted by ethnic communities, by linking them to the conditions offered by urban contexts. According to literature, among the population, who has accepted this practice have been the academic circles. For this reason, we inquired about the attitudes of psychology students from both public and private universities to know their level of acceptance toward the industrialization of coca leaf. For this purpose, a questionnaire designed by the researcher was applied in which he inquired about the political, professional, and commercial situation of the current situation under this scenario. It was observed that students from public universities had more positive attitudes toward the commercialization of coca leaf, while those from private universities were more neutral.
